Focus on Middle School: Astronomy & Geology, 3rd Edition
The Focus On Series is a semester-long unit study series. We’ve chosen Astronomy and Geology for eighth grade, teaching topics that are not as commonly studied in high school. Each unit study has a Student Text, Laboratory Workbook, and Teacher’s Manual, and a PDF Study Library (ten downloadable quizzes, two midterms, a study notebook, and an adjustable lesson plan). 

Real Science-4-Kids’ Focus On Series is based on a “block” teaching method, where focused learning is condensed to a shorter “block” of time. The Focus On Series is also beneficial for a student with an inherent interest in one particular area of science, since one subject at a time is presented.

Each book contains 12 chapters. The Laboratory Workbook has hands-on real science experiments that coincide with the material covered in the Student Text. The Teacher’s Manual has objectives for each experiment, questions for open inquiry, instructions for guiding the students in conducting the experiments, and complete lists of materials needed. If you would like a convenient, time-saving way to get nearly all of the materials you will need for the Geology experiments, we now offer a lab kit! This lab kit is already assembled with virtually every non-household item the curriculum requires, so you won't have to go searching for elusive components.
